Routes afoot for Canillo
Under the snow that covers the slopes and mountains of Grandvalira in winter, lies dormant Andorra’s incredible scenery and rich fauna and flora: an all-involving natural milieu that will make you feel alive and full of energy, surrounded by landscapes so beautiful that they can hardly even be conjured up in dreams.
Many of Andorra’s landscapes have been declared Natural World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, and they are indeed genuinely magnificent enclaves that awaken one’s senses and become forever engraved in your memory, whether you’re accompanied or alone. These remote areas, which cannot be accessed by car, are the perfect place to lose yourself, explore, contemplate the scenery and meditate in silence.
Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the area, as you can easily hire specialised mountain guides who will lead you along the many routes located in the area of the parish of Canillo. Whether you want to visit lakes and monuments, climb peaks, challenge yourself with a “via ferrata” or spend the night in an alpine refuge, surrounded by nothing but nature, you’ll find it all right here!
Come and get away from it all this summer in the mountains! You’ll also be able to enjoy all of the activities that Grandvalira offers all summer round—as well as eat at all of its restaurants!
